Rules & Regulations for University-Idol Singing Contest 2009
(1) Applicant must provide a copy of the following identification at the time of registration:
a)Driver’s licence OR valid government photo ID with full name, age and address
b)Student ID (to verify their status as a post secondary student, currently enrolled in an Ontario college or university)
(2) Applicant must select 2 songs; one of which will be used in the featured audition performance and the other will be used as a back-up. One of the selected songs must either be in Cantonese or Mandarin. Lyrics of the songs may not contain foul language, sexually explicit content, violence or discriminatory remarks of any kind.
(3) All applicants will be auditioned and they will be evaluated upon the following criteria: Vocal Technique, Voice Quality, Interpretation, Showmanship, Appearance / Attire.
(4) All finalists are expected to participate in all of the mandatory trainings (i.e. cat-walk, vocal, dance, etc.) which will be provided by our sponsors before the semi-final and/or final contest.
(5) All finalists are expected to participate in all of the set tour performances which will take place from December 2008 to March 2009.
(6) University of Toronto Scarborough Campus Chinese Club (UTSCCC) & U-Idol Project Production hold the right to disqualify any contestant if the contestant is found to have violated one or more of their contract term(s).
(7) Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice. The decision and outcome of the audition and contests are final. In the case of a discrepancy, University of Toronto Scarborough Campus Chinese Club (UTSCCC) & U-Idol Project Production holds the right to make the final decision.
2009年U-Idol 比賽規則
(1) 參賽者必須於報名時提供身份證明文件副本：
a)駕駛執照或附有相片之有效身份證明文件（附有姓名﹐年齡及地址）
b)學生証（以便確認參賽者乃是安大略省專上學生）
(2) 參賽者必須自選兩首歌曲﹐一首為初賽的參賽歌曲﹐另一首則作為備歌曲。自選歌曲必須有一首以粵語或國語演繹。歌詞不可含有粗俗語言﹐色情﹐暴力或歧視成份。
(3) 所有參賽者將通過評核﹐評核範圍如下：
歌唱技巧﹐聲線﹐台風及演譯風格﹐表演技巧﹐型象及服裝打扮
(4) 所有候選決賽者必須出席及參與所有有關訓練活動﹐如歌唱練習﹐排舞﹐髮型設計及化妝等等。有關贊助商戶將於決賽前提供有關服裝及型象設計。
(5) 所有候選決賽者必須出席及參與二○○八年十二月至二○○九年三月期間所舉行的節目表演。
(6) 多大士嘉堡中國同學會及U-idol 製作委員會擁有及保留所有權力淘汰任何違犯合約規條之參賽者。
(7) 所有參賽規條如有更改﹐恕不另行通知。此比賽只有一個決賽回合﹐不做複賽。在特殊情況下﹐如比賽結果附有爭議性或參賽者中途棄權﹐多大士嘉堡中國同學會及U-idol 委員會將有權力作最後決定。
